​The Village has been a Community Facilities Grant through USDA Rural Development. The grant  is in the amount of $25,000 The project included removal and replacement of the top layer of roofing, along with repair of any damage to the base roofing layer, to the River Valley Complex Community Building roof in Leaf River.

CFPS assisted  in securing DCEO Community Development & Economic Development grant monies in 2015 for three local communities! CFPS submitted applications in July 2015 and received award in January 2016. 2016 applications are due in July.


City of Morrison 

Project: Sanitary Sewer Lining 

Grant Amount: $318,432.00

Project summary: The City’s Sanitary Sewer Lining project entails the repair and cured-in-place lining of approximately 4,000 L.F. of cracked and deteriorated sanitary sewer main in a targeted area of town. View the City's award letter HERE.  


City of Fulton

Project: Sanitary Sewer Lining

Grant Amount: $406, 575.00

Project summary: The City’s Sanitary Sewer Lining project entails the repair and cured-in-place lining of approximately 9,600 L.F. of cracked and deteriorated sanitary sewer main, along with the grouting of sewer manholes in a targeted area of town. View the City's award letter HERE.


Village of Cedarville

Project: Storm Drainage Improvements

Grant Amount: $207,332.00

Project summary: The Village’s Storm Sewer Drainage Project is being completed to properly manage the excessive storm drainage that is causing flooding and damage to homes and personal property within two targeted areas of Cedarville.  The proposed project entails the new construction of roughly 925 L.F. of new storm sewer piping, along with the replacement of curb-n-gutter, storm sewer inlets, regrading and reshaping earthwork and associated roadway repair work.  View the Village's award letter HERE.

The City of Fulton received a Rural Business Development Grant from USDA for $99,000. The project calls for the looping of water main it the City's industrial district. 

The City of East Dubuque received a Rural Business Development Grant from USDA. The project calls for the purchase and installation of 10 new energy efficient light fixtures that will be placed along Sinsinawa Avenue in the City’s downtown district. 


The City of Savanna has  secured $1,514,521 in grant funds from the Illinois Department of Transportation's Economic Development Program. This EDA investment funds the design, engineering, and re-construction of Wacker Road to accommodate heavy duty/weighted trucks and to add a new storm water system. When completed, the new and improved Wacker Road will be re-classified by IDOT as a designated Truck Access Route, which will enhance the marketability of the region and its assets by enabling industrial businesses to expand while attracting new industrial development to the region.
